Cross-country road trip: 1 part strategic adventure planning, 1 part fate, and 1 part growth exercise with a dash of desperation.

What began as an abrupt response to a Facebook post by the dear friend of some dear friends has now become a reality. We’re on the move, and I plan to keep up some of my personal and artistic work as we venture across the states. In the last year especially, I’ve been searching for ways to be more proactive about my own mental health and to more community-oriented with topics surrounding mental health. Diving into the subject in this blog is a way to be accountable to myself and to share with others. Before leaving and en route, I’ve brainstormed ways to practice mindfulness, or methods to keep myself grounded in the present moment on our adventure and hopefully develop some positive habits.
